About this project

Formerly a corrugated iron, steel framed, barn. Class Q permission allowed conversion to a dwelling. The sloping site allowed a part-basement storey and an upper floor within the original barn volume. The entrance is at half landing level, with a half flight down to the bedrooms and a half flight up to the living spaces. The steel frame is retained and exposed at the upper level. The underfloor heating at both levels is provided by an air to water heat pump.
